In response to the request of the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. S. Arokia Samy, and the people of Tiruchengode, three Sisters of the FSM: Srs. Paula, Therese Francis and Mathilda arrived in this town on June 1, 1974. In the same year, Holy Angels’ School was started to cater to the education of the surrounding areas. This school, established primarily for the education of the Catholic students, welcomes students of all other religions too, imparting holistic education to the children its care. Up to 1994 it was only till VIIth standard and in the year 1996 upgraded to high school and high school was shifted to Neikarapatti in 1997. In 2006 again upgraded to Higher Secondary school. Today this school renders its service to 2332 students both boys and girls.

At present there are eleven sisters in the community. They have taken up parochial works such as teaching catechism, visiting families, sacristy work, leading and guiding the Legion of Mary and Anbiams (Basic Christian Community), attending parish council meetings, helping the sick, the poor and needy and taking free tuitions for the poor children.

Apart from the parish work the Sisters also go to the sub-stations which include: Kumaramangalam, Karuveppampatti, Hemapalli, Animoor, Chinnathambipalayam, Moorur, Vattur and Karattupalayam.
Sisters visit families; motivate them to participate in the Eucharistic celebrations and help the sick, the poor and the needy. They also teach catechism to the children and prepare them for the first Holy Communion and Confirmation.
There are several Catholic children in the school and to encourage them to study well almost all of them are given a fee concession. Other poor children are also given, free education, books, uniforms etc.
