A small village situated in the district of Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, it has grown to the stature of a mini town because of the booming industries in the nearby town of Hosur, and hence, the population too has increased considerably.

Invited by the Rev. Fr. Quinquinel, M.E.P, and the then Parish Priest of Mathigiri, the FSM accepted the proposal and arrived there on May 26, 1963. Father was a real papa to us helping in every way to face life here.

The work of spreading God’s Kingdom began in a small dispensary where people were treated free of cost. Thanks to the aid of Misereor, a hospital was built and blessed on July 8, 1974, catering to both inpatients and outpatients. Currently the hospital is managed by a doctor and five sisters while the sisters also periodically visit the neighbouring villages for administering medical care. There is also a M.C.H. program.

The need of a school was strongly felt and thus with the help of donors and the support of the Congregation a kindergarten and primary school were started in 1986, especially for poor children. A tailoring unit was also started to cater to the needs of imparting skills to school drop-outs so as to enable them to become future home-makers and also have a skill in hand.

Pastoral activities form an integral part of the mission along with family visits and social work in its varied forms. The sisters of the FSM strive to live their charism in the words of the Gospel:
