Vocation Promotion
We are Franciscan Servants of Mary . (FSM) Our congregation originated in France in 1854 and six missionaries came to India in 1934, to the then most backward Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. Today these peripheries have become centres. Now we have 37 communities in the south of India. Our congregation for its apostolic aim, does works of mercy and education among young girls and women, in particular with those who live in a state of service and dependence and with children and underprivileged youth. So we have educational institutions, hospitals, clinics, underprivileged girls’ boardings, hostels and social development work especially for women and children.
